The mission of the AIA Design for Aging (DFA) Knowledge Community is to foster design innovation and disseminate knowledge necessary to enhance the built environment and quality of life for an aging society. This includes relevant research on characteristics, planning and costs associated with innovative design for aging. In addition, DFA provides outcome data on the value of these design solutions and environments.

  • 1.  Call for Volunteers

    The Design for Aging committee is looking for a few volunteers.  This year we have some exciting things in the works.  We'd love to have your help.

    • Student competition - we are looking to make a big push on our student outreach. We want to revamp our and roll out a new student competition.
    • Content and communication.  We are looking to push out lots of great research, white papers, and webinars.  Are you working on information and would like to get it out to a larger audience?
