SLS Next Generation Scholarship

Apply by April 21, 2024.

The Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) and the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) sponsor up to two emerging professionals seeking licensure, or newly licensed, to attend the Summer Leadership Summit (SLS) in July. Each selected recipient will receive complimentary registration, a stipend to offset travel/hotel, and be recognized during the event.

MillerKnoll Healthcare Scholarship

To open in summer 2024. 

MillerKnoll will sponsor emerging professionals seeking licensure to attend the fall Healthcare Design Expo and Conference (HCD). The Scholars Program has been made available through Herman Miller, and now MillerKnoll, for nearly 25 years. Each selected recipient will receive a full conference pass and a stipend to offset travel, hotel room, and meal costs.

Foundation for Health Environments Research (FHER) Fellowships

Griffin/McKahan/Zilm (GMZ) Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning & Design.

This fellowship has been established and supported by three leaders in health care planning through the Foundation for Health Environments Research Legacy fund. It supports graduate students, junior faculty, and emerging professionals in health care facility planning and design. Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000 – $9,000.

Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design

Closed for 2024.

The Tuttle Fellowship by The American Institute of Architect’s Academy of Architecture for Health (AIA AAH), supports graduate students who desire to increase their awareness of the needs and nature of health care facilities. Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000–$10,000.

Healthcare Design's Best Under 40 (U40 List)

Closed for 2024.

The U40 List is an award to celebrate individuals under 40 years of age making a significant contribution to the advancement of health care design. Each year up to two individuals are selected to have their names added to the distinguished U40 List. The U40 List recipients receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend to attend the Summer Leadership Summit (SLS).
