MillerKnoll Healthcare Scholarship

2023 will open in late summer or early fall. 

MillerKnoll will sponsor young professionals seeking licensure to attend the 2022 Healthcare Design Expo and Conference (HCD), the fall conference of the Center for Health Design (CHD)/AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH). The Scholars Program has been offered through Herman Miller for more than 20 years. The name change follows Herman Miller, Inc.'s acquisition of Knoll, Inc. in 2021. Each selected recipient will receive a full conference pass and a stipend to offset travel, hotel room, and meal costs.

Foundation for Health Environments Research (FHER) Fellowships

2023 is closed. 

Griffin/McKahan/Zilm (GMZ) Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning & Design.

This fellowship has been established by three leaders in healthcare planning through the Foundation for Health Environments Research Legacy fund to encourage research into healthcare programming and planning. Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000 – $7,500.

Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design

2023 is closed.

The Tuttle Fellowship supports graduate students, increasing their awareness of the needs and nature of healthcare facilities, attracting talented young architects and students to the field and advancing the knowledge of planning and design for healthcare environments. Awards are typically from $2,000–$10,000.

Healthcare Design's Best Under 40 (U40)

2023 is closed.

The U40 List is an award to celebrate individuals under 40 years of age making a significant contribution to the advancement of health care design. Each year up to two individuals are selected to have their names added to the distinguished U40 List. The U40 List recipients receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend to attend the Summer Leadership Summit (SLS).

SLS Next Generation Scholarship

2023 is closed. 

The Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) and the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) sponsor up to two young professionals seeking licensure, or newly licensed, to attend the Summer Leadership Summit (SLS) in person in July. Each selected recipient will receive complimentary registration and be recognized during the event.
