The Thunder Bay Courthouse is a unique and interesting courthouse project which is under construction for the Ministry of Attorney General in the Province of Ontario, Canada. This culturally significant courthouse is proceeding through the Infrastructure Ontario Design Build Finance and Maintain (DBFM) process and reflects the presence of the Aboriginal people and their culture, which is strong in the Thunder Bay region. This influence is reflected in the Ministry’s restorative justice program, the design of the new courthouse, and in particular the Aboriginal Conference Settlement Suite, which is a major component of the project.
