Technique is the semi-annual newsletter from the AIA’s Technical Design for Building Performance (TDBP) Knowledge Community. The goal of TDBP is to promote architects as leaders in the application of technical design, building science, detailing, life safety and systems integration to deliver buildings that meet heightened energy performance and owner’s expectations while maintaining the highest of aesthetic aspirations. TDBP will showcase the application of high-performance design criteria, codes, and standards; the commissioning roles required to deliver high performing buildings; and best practices for programming, designing and managing building performance.
