Police Facility as Urban Citizen. Community history, culture and resident aspirations are core to the development of vital urban neighborhoods. Fundamental to their health and wellness are law enforcement facilities. The principal of community policing are founded in the full participation of community representatives in the design process. This case study of the Toronto Police 11 Division demonstrates the collaborative power of architecture to achieve community and police interests.
