This course is for those who have a limited to moderate knowledge of medical equipment planning for healthcare facilities. It begins with an overview on the origins and history of medical equipment planning as a discipline followed by a subjective overview of the changing roles, responsibilities and expectations of the modern medical equipment planner. An overview of what to expect from today’s medical equipment planner follows. In addition, an overview of the challenges and trends currently facing the healthcare design industry is presented. The presentation concludes with a summary of innovative and future trends in the field of medical equipment planning. Attendees will leave with an understanding of current best practices and future trends as it relates to the field of medical equipment planning.

Learning objectives

After participating in this webinar attendees will be equipped to:

  1. Participants will understand the changing role and responsibilities of the modern medical equipment planner.
  2. Participants will become familiar with current trends in medical equipment planning for healthcare facilities undergoing new construction/renovation.
