AAH1809: Award Winning Project from China: Shanghai Jia Hui International Hospital

The new Jiahui International Hospital is one of Shanghai’s first private hospitals focused on delivering efficient, comprehensive and patient-focused healthcare. Jiahui International Hospital is a privately owned, international-standard, and tertiary level hospital that is centrally located in the Xuhui District. It is currently the largest, foreign-invested joint venture hospital in Shanghai. From design to operation, Jiahui uses best practices to be an internationally recognized, leading medical institution in China, providing high-quality, patient-centric, and integrated healthcare services, professional training and clinical research.

John Lyon, NBBJ Director of Healthcare in Asia, will share lessons learned, challenges and the overseas opportunities available in healthcare design and medical planning. He will also discuss the importance of balancing cultural expectations with international best practices in healthcare.
