MISSION

The Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) promotes excellence in the design of justice facilities—judicial complexes, courthouses, police stations, prisons, jails, special needs facilities, and juvenile detention centers—and fosters the exchange of knowledge between members, professional organizations, and the public on the high-quality planning, design, and delivery of justice architecture.

WHO WE ARE

AAJ members are experts in the planning, design, and construction of justice facilities. Architect AAJ members work in private and public organizations of all sizes, many of which are subject matter experts ranging from courtroom technology and advanced security systems to specific design requirements for juvenile detention centers. Allied AAJ members are from all sectors of the justice community, including educators, public servants, administrators, contractors, product manufacturers, and consultants.
