Bio

Steve serves as the North Central Regional Leader, for Gensler’s Cities + Urban Design Practice.  He helps clients and communities imagine and achieve their future cities and towns. Trained as an architect and planner, he has over 20 years of planning and urban design experience and has worked in more than 35 communities across the country. He is passionate about helping clients create exceptional bringing people together to create plans that are inspiring, achievable and widely supported.

His experience includes community-wide planning, downtown and neighborhood planning, corridor planning, new communities, and campus planning, across a full spectrum of project types including mixed-used development, residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, research, and higher education.

Steve currently serves on AIA’s national Regional and Urban Design Committee (RUDC) Leadership Group and previously served as Chicago AIA’s RUDC Chair. He is dedicated to bringing the best research and knowledge to help communities achieve their full potential.
