Rupert is an accomplished Senior Executive Consultant and Thought Leader with more than 30 years of success in the architecture, energy and solar, hospitality, K-12, healthcare, and residential industries. Leveraging extensive experience in project portfolio planning and design management, Rupert is a valuable asset for companies seeking assistance with a capital plan, funding options and viability analysis, architectural advising, and energy and environmental design. His key areas of expertise include architectural design, management, strategic planning, problem solving, and leadership. Throughout his career, held the position of Capital Improvement Program Officer with Prince George’s County Public Schools, Department of Capital Programs, where he was responsible for an annual budget exceeding $120M for more than 200 facilities. Over Rupert’s tenure at PGCPS, he secured over $1.7B plus in funding for capital improvement projects. Currently Rupert is President at a Macgen & Associates Consulting, LLC. He is responsible for providing solutions regarding capital improvement strategic planning, architectural challenges and opportunities, K-12 consulting, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) consulting, graphic design, and information technology. Rupert received a B.A. Cum Laude, Architecture and Planning, from Howard University, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class, in 1986 and an Environmental Sustainability Project Management Certification from Kaplan University in 2011. He is involved with a variety of organizations, including ASBO (Association of School Business Officials), American Institute of Architects, United States Green Building Council, Green Building Institute, and Washington Architectural Foundation. He serves on boards focused on public infrastructure and climate change.
