SFCS is a full-service architectural, engineering, planning and interior design firm that specializes in the design of senior living, education, health care, and government facilities nationwide.
I am a Vice President at SFCS with over 15 years of experience with an emphasis on the roles of project management and project designer. Over the course of my career, I have managed and planned projects for retirement, commercial, residential, non-profit, and educational clients.
I attended Krakow Polytechnic University in Krakow, Poland and completed my Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Tennessee.
Beginning with my graduate thesis, I began to focus on specialized interests in the areas of design for seniors and frail adults, with a focus on design for memory support. I have been lucky enough to work with clients nationwide in an effort to improve the environments that our seniors live in. I am actively involved in researching design trends and innovations that can improve the residential environments that are emerging as the industry standard for skilled care communities. Most recently, I have been working on several projects regarding household design trends for memory support residents with a focus on resident outcomes and broader benefits to the staff, provider and larger community.
I am a member of the American Institute of Architects, certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction.
I have worked with various national code task force groups updating regulations to support residential design in licensed senior living environments. I have served on the selection Jury for the Environments for Aging design awards, and speak nationally about the senior living industry.
