Ms. Fields has spent 35 years working as a Design Professional mostly on Educational Facilities. She graduated from Florida A&M University in 1978.
In 2009, after 30 years working in both the private and public sector, she opened her own firm, D.L. Fields Consultants, LLC. The firm was certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Georgia Women's Business Council(GWBC) a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) The firm is now in the process of being certified in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Ms Fields is currently a member of several professional organizations, and currently is member of AIA, CSI, USGBC and other organizations.
