Bio

Scott Archer is an urban designer, architect, and planner with a diversity of experience through which he brings a spirit of both rationality and ingenuity. He collaborates with varied clients, including governmental, institutional, and private organizations, to create strategies that express their missions within their city, campus, or building. His work emphasizes creating better built environments through design that empowers people in dozens of projects throughout the United States and international cities. Scott also is committed to the next generation of designers through his teaching of design studios and research seminars at Virginia Tech’s Washington Alexandria Architecture Center, and he is involved in AIA|DC including multiple leadership positions within the Urban Design Committee and the 2021 recipient of the Emerging Architect Award.
