I spent my youth- in Missouri and Oklahoma-obsessed with both art and architecture. My first wife was a classmate at the School of Design, where we both edited the Student Publication, both won the school medal, etc. etc. Her academic career brought us to East Tennessee where she became an architectural historian, textbook author and administrator. We made many architecture and urbanism-intensive trips to Europe over the years. She died in 2004. Our daughter got her MFA from the Slade School London and, likewise, married a classmate; they live in London. I am remarried; my wife is a writer, editor and television producer. The work of BSP has covered a wide range of project types including an unusual niche market in fairground planning and design far and wide. We're pleased to have received many awards for our work. My involvement is now on a part-time basis and I'm able to spend more time on artistic, musical and writing activities. I've recently had a book published, "Forming and Centering: Foundational Aspects of Architectural Design."
