Bio

Adam joined the firm in early 2000 while completing his Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado. After working in various trades in the construction industry Adam joined the firm as a project draftsman, but his experience and knowledge quickly propelled him to a Project Management position. As a Project Manager, Adam was able to use his interpersonal skills to successfully guide the permitting efforts for a very complicated urban infill project in Fort Collins, Colorado, The Collegio Building.

Building on his enjoyment and abilities at client and municipal communications, Adam began taking on more business development tasks for the firm, eventually being promoted the youngest president in the firm’s history. Through these efforts Adam has been able to bring Hillhouse Architects, Inc. a diverse portfolio of project types; including hospitality, residential, and commercial/industrial.

Realizing the need for environmentally responsible design solutions, and the unique opportunities of architecture to influence the energy demands of our built environment, Adam successfully pursued LEED AP registration through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in November, 2007. With this knowledge, and a sustained hunger for new research, the firm has continued its commitment to environmentally responsible architecture using the latest in technological advances and material innovations.
