SchoolSafety.gov released a new infographic that highlights strategies and resources to enhance student and school safety through the use of reporting programs. The infographic includes specific actions K-12 schools and school districts can take to enable, improve, and sustain reporting systems and create an environment that empowers students to share concerns. You can find the Resource here: School Safety and Reporting Resources for the K-12 Community

The intent of this resource is to reduce the threat of violence and enhance student safety by creating a reliable reporting program and school environment where anyone can seek help. This is done by:

      • Establishing a centralized and accessible reporting system
      • Evaluating and addressing reports
      • Creating and promoting a supportive school climate
      • Providing training and generating awareness
