AIA International Spring Conference 2024 -

    Call for Proposals

    Dear AIA Members & Friends,

You still have time to submit your proposal for the 2024 Spring Conference!

Extended Deadline: Monday 22 January 2024.

    Start Your Submission

    The theme for 2024 is:

Decarbonizing Construction: From Material Production to Preservative Adaptive Reuse.

The construction industry is a significant emitter of greenhouse gases (GHGs), from the production of materials to the heating, cooling and maintenance of existing buildings and infrastructure. To achieve emission reduction targets by 2050, new low carbon technologies and tools are needed to support further advancements in the construction sector.

New solutions will support these requirements, including lifecycle performance of buildings and infrastructure, digitalization, construction practices and materials. From a regulatory perspective, there are multiple paths to achieve net zero. This provides an opportunity to advocate for careful system upgrades and modernization of existing facilities. It also elevates the importance of building reuse as part of climate action and a residential solution.

We look forward to a global discussion about how architects and others around the world are finding innovative ways to evolve the industry!

    Call for Proposals

We are once again extending an open call for proposals to our membership, to encourage the broadest possible participation. We want to hear how you respond to the theme and the speakers and projects you want to bring to our audience around the world!
