Who we are

The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. We believe that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future. Our work promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve.

COTE Committee Network

The COTE Committee Network is a community of AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Committees from over 60 local AIA Components across the country.

1. Network Quarterly Calls

    • Calls take place once a quarter and feature updates from COTE committees throughout the country.
    • Registration is required using the links provided here:
    • There will also be an open office (half) hour immediately following each call (3-3:30 pm ET) to create space for COTE Committee Chairs to further connect with each other.  (This will be held in the same Zoom link - you do not need to register again or join another meeting.)

2. Network Quarterly Calls Archive

    • Archived content from the network quarterly calls including notes, recordings, and slides can be found here.
