The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. We believe that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future. Our work promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve.

    Reminder that the January 15 application deadline is approaching for The Civita Institute's Architecture and Design Professionals' Fellowships in Italy, including residence and stipend.  The nonprofit Civita Institute is now offering its 2020 round of Fellowship residencies for arts and design professionals, located at its historic facilities in the extraordinary hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio, north of Rome. This year a new Sustainability/Climate Action Fellowship is being offered for a Fellowship project focusing on climate change topics.  Please go to www.civitainstitute.org/2079/fellowships.html for more information.
