    Join the next Envelope Technology Research Team Meeting – a Virtual Technology Showcase Featuring Shading Attachments, Air Barrier Technologies, and Resources for Building Enclosure Commissioning

    About the Technology Showcase:

    During this 60-minute webinar, the Envelope Technology Research Team will host industry experts Mike Hatten from <g class="gr_ gr_19 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="19" data-gr-id="19">Solarc</g> Energy Group and Laverne Dalgleish from the Air Barriers Association of America (ABAA).  Mr. Hatten will present on advancements with window shading attachments, their performance, and best applications looking at examples from the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance's BetterBricks program.  Mr. Dalgleish will share information on <g class="gr_ gr_20 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="20" data-gr-id="20">value</g> of air barrier technologies, what products to specify, their performance, and best practices for installation.  We will close the Showcase with Dr. Simon Pallin from ORNL providing an update on best practices, tools, and guidance for conducting Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx).

     

    Seeking Volunteers and Project Data

    The Envelope Technology Research Team is seeking volunteers to provide information on results from your envelope projects and installations. If you are interested in sharing your data, please email us with details on the type of project (windows, roof, or wall), the average energy savings ($ or KWh) per project – if known; and any additional performance benefits you'd be willing to share.
