Who we are

The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. We believe that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future. Our work promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve.

Anyone (including non-AIA members) can set up an AIA account (use this link: https://account.aia.org/signup).

Once that profile is created, people can follow and participate in any Knowledge Community (such as COTE) on Knowledge Net (KNet).

To engage with KCs, start here https://network.aia.org/home and click Join Now ...

That should take you here https://me.aia.org/s/interests.

Those who select/follow the COTE Knowledge Community will automatically receive the COTE newsletter (delivered to the email at which they signed up); it comes out six times a year, in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Questions or concerns? Let us know at cote@aia.org.
