Taliesin Colloquium Program

What is good and compatible design for additions to historic buildings and districts? Is compatibility an objective? Is compatibility a matter of style and tradition, or an exploration of metaphors? How do we interpret the National Park Service standards? These questions are debated in academia and the press, but seldom discussed among architects. The AIA Taliesin Colloquium will explore issues that are important to the practice of historic architecture. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West provides a retreat atmosphere in a living landmark of American architecture. Scottsdale provides a beautiful natural setting with a variety of activities for attendees, family, and friends.
