A panel of experts in architectural and environmental research will explore various approaches to research and strategies for the application of scientific and non-scientific research to architectural practice. The latest trends in evidence-based design will be discussed as will the current status of housing research at the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. A case study of assisted-living facilities commissioned by the architect and conducted by a leading researcher will be described and analyzed.
