The Hua Yan group, one of China’s premier developers of cultural projects, announces the launch of an international project competition in one phase to design sixteen prestigious building complexes that will make up the MOLEWA new town on Mount Lu. this competition, in accordance with the UNESCO-UIA regulations, has been approved by the UIA.
Molewa is part of an ambitious touristic town-planning project, Flower-Ocean Garden - Hua Yan township, a permanent exhibition and celebration of world architecture, alongside one of the world’s largest flower theme parks. The entire project is situated on one of central China’s most renowned sites, both for its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Within a new urban agglomeration of 20 ha, for which the master plan has already been defined, the competition brief is divided into two categories: commercial and cultural on the one hand; residential on the other. Eight plots have been assigned to the first category, a built area of 70 000 to 80 000M2; and five to the second, for a built area of 120 000 M2. Competitors can choose a single plot, or one in each category. In addition, three plots are set aside for a competition open to Chinese students of architecture.

PRIZES:
Three prizes will be awarded to projects for each of the 13 plots.
First prizes will receive 160,000 US$; second prizes will receive 80,000 US$; and third prizes 40,000 US$
