BIM for Lifecycle Management: Bootcamp for Architects, Contractors, and Engineers

08-15-2017 04:24 PM

Overview: Owners lament: I’ve been given BIMs from our latest project. What do I do with them? This workshop helps BIM practitioners provide answers to this vexing question posed by owners. The workshop begins with a study of the latest research data on the BIM ecosystem. Novel approaches in BIM workflows, data collation, and technology integration that accelerate owner’s use of BIMs for lifecycle management will be presented, followed by a case study and panel discussion. Abstract: A/E/C professionals must be adept at planning, executing and managing workflows and tasks to meet owner’s expectations of facility lifecycle data delivered at project handover. But what must BIM Project stakeholders look for when evaluating owner’s requirements on a BIM project? Can contracted design and build firms differentiate their BIM services by providing a real solution to the often-statement by owners: I’ve been given these BIMs. What do I do with them? This workshop provides a solid foundation to help BIM practitioners provide answers to this vexing question posed by owners. This workshop will cover: -Research presentation on the BIM ecosystem. -Novel approaches in BIM workflows, data collation, and technology integration that deliver high value beyond just the handoff of BIMs. -Accelerating owner’s use of BIMs for lifecycle management domains such as space and asset management, maintenance, environmental, health and safety management. -BIM Case study for a hospital.
