The Regional and Urban Design Committee (RUDC) at the American Institute of is partnering with The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture for the second in a multi-year effort to bring together leading academics, practitioners and theoreticians about the critical issues facing the profession and environment. This program builds on the January 2019 Symposium “Bridging the Gap: The Future of Urban Design Education and Practice”. The purpose of this symposium series is to establish an ambitious agenda for urban design practice and education for 2020 and beyond.This year’s symposium will focus on addressing issues of climate, context, and the environment.
