Adrienne Montare, FAIA, NOMA, LEED AP, is the Executive Director of AIA South Carolina. Adrienne was previously employed as a Project Architect at Watson Tate Savory Architects in Columbia from 1997-2009. After receiving a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985, she returned to her native New York to work for several award-winning firms including Gwathmey Siegel & Associates. In 1997 after moving to South Carolina she co-founded the Columbia Design League, established to promote the importance of good design and its impact on the community. She has taught classes for the SC Chapter of USGBC (US Green Building Council) for candidates preparing for the LEED Accredited Professional exam, is a past president of AIA Columbia, and has served on the Board of Directors of the City Center Partnership in downtown Columbia.
