AIA AAH Facility Tour

- 11:15am bus available for pick up.
- The tour buses will depart promptly at 11:45am on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
- The tour will begin with an orientation at 12pm
- Tour buses will depart the hospital around 2:45pm and return at 3pm.
- Please bring a lunch or snack to eat on the bus, food is not provided.

AIA AAH Student Challenge 2024 Jury

The AIA/AAH PDC Student Challenge 2024 is an exciting annual event designed to stimulate critical inquiry, creative ideas and multi-disciplinary interaction between students and design professionals. It will highlight the brilliance and innovation of our future health care architects, engineers, construction managers and nurses. Students from five different universities and disciplines will bring their creativity and ideas to this fun and evocative design charrette.
During this time, students will present work completed during the three-day-long AIA/AAH PDC Student Challenge 2024 for critique by a multi-disciplinary jury and the winning will be team announced.
- Learn about the student challenge goals and vision of this program.
- Review & discuss the programmatic, site and planning issues of the healthcare challenge.
- Explore the success that comes from multi-disciplinary & inter-professional collaboration between architects, engineers & contractors.
- Discuss highly successful student projects developed during a 48hr student charrette under the guidance of expert faculty & industry advisors.

AIA AAH PDC Student Challenge 2024 Presentation

The AIA/AAH PDC Student Challenge 2024 is an exciting annual event designed to stimulate critical inquiry, creative ideas, and multi-disciplinary interaction between students and design professionals. It will highlight the brilliance and innovation of our future health care architects, engineers, construction managers and nurses. Students from different universities and disciplines will bring their creativity and ideas to this fun and evocative design charrette. This session will be an overview of the three day long AIA AAH PDC Student Challenge 2024 followed by presentations by the winning teams.
- Review and discuss the current state of today's professional education in the fields of architecture, health care design, architectural engineering and construction management.
- Identify key issues that will help groom better health care design leaders of the future.
- Explore the success that comes from multi-disciplinary and inter-professional collaboration between architects, engineers and contractors.
- Discuss highly successful student projects developed during a 48-hour student charrette under the guidance of expert faculty and industry advisors.
