This interactive program explores the ways architects have and continue to make significant progress in meeting housing needs and responding to the climate crisis. The discussion will include sharing successes as well as exploring strategies for overcoming challenges. Examples of architects who have made a difference through practice, policy and scholarship are featured. Resources to support and inform action will be shared. You’ll leave inspired!

 

The webinar is part of a series produced by the AIA Right-to-Housing Working Group. In each episode, we ask: “What does the right to housing mean in practice?” and “How can architects contribute?”

Learning Objectives Participants will :

  1. Identify architects who are advancing policy and knowledge in the critical areas of Housing and Climate.

  2. Gain familiarity with leading resources for housing and climate policy

  3. Understand actions that lead to meaningful change in advancing the right to housing and reducing climate impacts

  4. Build skills to increase effectiveness in achieving housing and climate goals
