Who we are

The mission of the Historic Resources Committee (HRC) is to identify, understand, and preserve architectural heritage, both nationally and internationally. HRC is engaged in promoting the role of the historic architect within the profession through the development of information and knowledge among members, allied professional organizations, and the public.

    Volunteering with the AIA offers a chance to represent its growing membership and advance its mission and values. Serving on a national committee involves strategic teamwork to promote excellence and requires a significant time commitment, including monthly calls, meetings, and conferences. If you can fully commit, explore the opportunities below to join us in making a difference.

     

    Required meetings:

    Include monthly working calls.

    Subgroup meetings.

    Other collaboration member group meetings.

    Some In-person meetings could be required.

    Timeline

    The application process closes at 5pm ET on Friday, July 12, 2024.  Appointments will be made and nominees will be notified by November 15, 2024.
