The Academy page supports AIA's efforts to connect education and practice. AIA works with faculty, staff and students; practitioners; and collateral organizations to support excellence in education and research, expand the pathway to the profession, and prepare future architects. AIA regularly pools resources with AIAS, ACSA, NCARB, NAAB, and others to provide scholarships, educational programming, research, resources, and more.

    AIA and ACSA are currently accepting submissions for the 2025 Intersections Research Conference: New Housing Paradigms to be held in Austin, Texas January 9-11, 2025 in partnership with University of Texas at Austin. This year's focus on innovative housing solutions will bring together researchers, architects and designers from both practice and academia. Themes include: housing equity, sustainability, resilience, and building technology; as well as material, occupant and community health. Ideas are welcome at all scales, from single units to master plans and both research abstracts and project case studies are applicable. Submissions are due September 4th, 2024.
