The Academy page supports AIAs efforts to connect education and practice. AIA works with faculty, staff and students; practitioners; and collateral organizations to support excellence in education and research, expand the pathway to the profession, and prepare future architects. AIA regularly pools resources with AIAS, ACSA, NCARB, NAAB, and others to provide scholarships, educational programming, research, resources, and more.

    Register for the 2023 AIA/ACSA Intersections Research Conference: Material Economies

    Registration is now open for AIA & ACSA's fourth annual Intersections Research Conference: Material Economies October 19 – 21, 2023. The conference will be held on-campus at the University of Massachusetts Amherst's mass timber Design Building and feature campus tours, material workshops, research sessions and keynote presentations. The conference will bring together researchers, architects, policy-makers, planners, and more from practice and academia to share innovations in material science, high performance design, healthy materials and circular building systems. The conference is co-chaired by Chris Flint Chatto, AIA, principal at ZGF Architects and Caryn Brause, FAIA, associate professor of architecture at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
