Design for Water: Resilience and Discovery

04-19-2021 03:55 PM

As designers focused on designing equitable and resilient educational spaces, this session explores how design engages with water, one of earth’s precious resources: water conservation and protection of water quality at the building, campus and regional scales; resilient design responses to rainfall, storms, flood and inundation; design that offers teachable moments about water as resource and mutable element; strategies that promote a sense of discovery and delight about water; fostering a relationship between designers, users and operators for project performance. A panel of design experts at different scales will share experiences and projects.
