It begins with an overview on the origins and history of medical equipment planning as a discipline followed by a subjective overview of the changing roles, responsibilities and expectations of the modern medical equipment planner. An overview of what to expect from today’s medical equipment planner follows. In addition, an overview of the challenges and trends currently facing the healthcare design industry is presented. The presentation concludes with a summary of innovative and future trends in the field of medical equipment planning. Attendees will leave with an understanding of current best practices and future trends as it relates to the field of medical equipment planning.
