Dear Friends and Colleagues:
As many of you are aware, I am working on a dissertation as part of a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Change Management. The dissertation will focus on understanding how the perception of a psychological contract violation, incurred through change from a merger or acquisition, affects employee attitudes. The second part will compare the effects on employee attitudes when a credible explanation for the merger or acquisition accompanies the change, such as a financial necessity or market driven need that is beyond the control of the organization to self-correct.
The target audience is all of you in knowledge-based roles (meaning your job requires knowledge and experience to perform) in the U.S. design and consulting industry and you have survived a merger or acquisition in the last 5 years. Your role could be either on the acquiring firm or the acquired firm side.
I need approximately 400 completed surveys to build the database for my research study and would greatly appreciate your help and participation completing a survey. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete 40 questions related to your experience in the organization, using the Likert scale of 1 to 7 (strongly disagree to strongly agree).
The survey is anonymous and does not collect your name or contact information. The aggregate information and analysis obtained in this study may be published in professional journals or presented at professional conferences, but your information will be kept strictly confidential. If you are willing to participate in this study, please proceed to the link below:

Your participation is greatly appreciated and will hopefully benefit our professional community as we continue to experience mergers and acquisitions and the organizational changes they bring about.
