The Committee of Corporate Architects and Facility Managers is currently inviting interested members to step up and join us in curating content for our Knowledge Community.  We work to develop presentations and workshops during convention, we look to resume our cycle of CAFM webinars, and would like to have an active team hosting monthly blog content.

If you would like to be part of the CAFM Knowledge Communities future growth, feel free to contact me and I will arrange for you to become an active member of the Committee.

Reminds me of what we did way back when we first started "Architects In Industry". There were many items and documents that were made available to the members...many were greatly used and appreciated. I know that this group has changed dramatically... for the first several years only architects employed by corporations or such--no private practicing architects were allowed to belong since it was, rightly thought that the private practitioner would be more interested in procuring a project from us than any helpful participation. We had a wonderful group-- many were in on the first establishing of the group--AT&T, 3M, Westinghouse, Bell Labs, Corning Glass, IBM, Marriot Hotels, Northwestern Bell, Singer Corp, National Bureau of Standards, E.I.Lilly, Pittsburg Paint, just to name a few off the top of my head. We were a powerful group in AIA-- we did lots of things--we had the power of our corporations and MONEY! Good old days. I had some really great friends in this group. I should write a history of how we first started and how we evolved.
