Less Than One Week Left to Apply for November Trade Mission to Qatar!
The deadline for the November Architecture Services Trade Mission to Qatar is approaching fast. Be sure to apply by Monday, September 15 for the chance to help your practice expand to a thriving international market.

The trade mission, hosted from November 17-19, is a prime opportunity to learn about prospects in the booming emirate. Qatar is spending over $250 billion on physical infrastructure and other developments over the next five years in an effort to move beyond a carbon-based economy. A number of specializations are particularly desired; master planning (regional design and port redevelopment); hospitals and health care architecture; hospitality; airports/other transportation infrastructure facility architecture; architectural services for mixed-use projects; sports and entertainment; and educational facilities.

In addition to the itinerary in Qatar, there is also an optional pre-mission stop in Saudi Arabia, where there is $960 billion dollars worth of projects planned or underway. The stop in Riyadh will be from November 16-17.

For more information and to apply, visit Export.gov. Questions about the AIA's involvement in trade missions should be directed to Derek Washam, the AIA's Manager of Federal & International Programs, at 202-626-7595 orderekwasham@aia.org.
