The AIA Committee on Design's 2012 Fall Conference, in cooperation with AIA Historic Resources Committee: The Role of Style in Defining Architectural Design Excellence. Seville is the site of centuries of architecture from Western European and Moorish cultures. The City hosted World’s Fairs in 1929 and 1992. There will be presentations from local architects, planners and historians, a riverboat dinner, a visit to Italica, and a visit to Casa de Retiro, the residential masterpiece designed by Emilio Ambasz in 1975.
