In order to accommodate the diverse audience of this annual event, there are a number of registration options. Please review the complete list below before beginning your registration linked at the bottom of the page.



Types


AIA Members 
All AIA members can register for the full conference online. Your full conference registration includes  the JFR Celebration.

Government Employees 
All national, state, local, and provincial government employees are eligible for AIA member rate using a discount code. In order to receive the discount code, please email a photocopy of your government I.D. to register@aia.org.     

Non-Member Professionals 
All justice professionals that do not fall into another category and are not otherwise ineligible are invited to register for the full conference online. View the eligibility policy below.

Emerging Professionals (under 40) discount
All AIA and AIAS members under 40 years of age (as of October 29, 2017) are eligible for a discounted rate when registering online with a discount code. In order to receive the discount code, please email a photocopy of your driver's license to register@aia.org

Speakers
Session speakers are offered a discount rate for access to the full conference. All speakers can register for their session only for free, but are highly encouraged to attend the full conference or a full day. Speakers are eligible for speaker rate using the online registration with a discount code that is provided to each session organizer.  

Exhibitors
Each exhibiting company received one full conference registration and one booth staff pass. Your company should register using the complimentary online form provided by AIA Staff. Questions can be directed to ShariaBarksdale@aia.org. If your company is interested in exhibiting, contact JonathanWatson@aia.org.

Sponsors
A number of sponsorship levels include complimentary full conference registrations. Please visit the prospectus to learn more. Sponsor can use the complimentary online form provided by AIA staff.

Volunteers
Conference volunteers can use the complimentary online form provided by AIA staff.




Access

Full Registrations 
Our most popular option, full registration, can be purchased online or using the PDF registration form. Full registration includes access to all sessions, plenaries, receptions, access to the JFR Celebration, and the exhibit hall as well as the ability to register for special events that start Wednesday evening and go through Saturday noon.

One-Day Registrations
Those wishing to attend only Monday or only Tuesday can register online. Monday-only registration includes access to the Monday vendor reception. Tuesday-only registration includes access to the tours.

Receptions Guest Only
Full conference registrants can add guest tickets to their registration. It is ideal for guests who are not attending the conference, but would like to participate in the two evening receptions.

 




Special Events

There are a variety of special events occurring within the conference and in downtown Cincinnati. Be sure to schedule your hotel and flight plans accordingly. Also, be sure to add these events to your registration before check out, where required.

Receptions (Sunday, Monday evenings)
Each day ends with a networking reception at the hotel. All full conference attendees automatically receive access. A Receptions Guest ticket can be added to any full registration. It is ideal for guests of attendees who are not attending the conference, but would like to participate in the evening events.

JFR Celebration (Sunday afternoon)
The annual Justice Facilities Review Celebration is a 1 hour presentation by the JFR 2017 jury.

Tours (Tuesday afternoon)
Conference attendees can select one tour to attend on Tuesday: 1) Cincinnati Police District 3 Station, 2) Hamilton County and Campbell County Jails Drug Pod Treatment Facilities, or 3) Shelter House. It is important to note that you plan to attend a tour. You will have an opportunity to adjust your actual tour selection at a later date, if desired. Tour buses will return to the hotel by 4:45 pm on Tuesday.

Sustainable Justice Committee Workshop  (Monday evening)
The Sustainable Justice Committee (SJC) will hold its annual workshop on best practices gleaned from the JFR submissions and the sustainability guidelines.

Policies

Registration Confirmations
After you register you will receive a registration confirmation via email immediately.  If you do not receive a registration confirmation please contact AIA Meetings or call (800) 242-3837 x7440. To ensure you receive the necessary conference materials (registration confirmations, conference updates, advance and final attendee rosters, etc.) please whitelist @aia.org in your email program. 

Cancellation Policy
Refunds, less a $100 cancellation fee, will be made for cancellations received in writing by October 13, 2017.  No cancellation refund is available after October 13.  Please fax your cancellation requests to AIA Registrar, 202-626-7624 or email to register@aia.org.

Special Needs
The AIA is committed to making meetings and conferences accessible to all to the degree reasonably possible.  Please notify us at the time of registration if you have special accessibility needs or specific dietary requirements.  Contact Sharia Barksdale at shariabarksdale@aia.org or via phone at (202) 626-7382 if special arrangements are required.

Eligibility Policy
The 2017 AIA AAJ Conference is open to architects, designers, planners, federal government employees, educators, judges, law enforcement, and court administrators. Meeting registration is only open to those business development professionals and vendors who exhibit. Exceptions are made only by the AAJ Leadership Group and must be requested by September 22, 2017. This ensures a high buyer/seller ratio. AIA reserves the right to refuse ineligible registrations.

Ineligible Registrations
All registrations are reviewed to ensure they meet AIA eligibility policies. AIA reserves the right to refuse or cancel all ineligible registrations at any time and shall not be held accountable for any outside fees associated with this cancellation. Please refer to the specific Eligibility Policy above.

Special Offers/Discount Codes
Use of a discount code is only valid at the time of initial purchase/registration. Refunds will not be authorized for existing registrations where the special offer was received after the initial purchase. Discount codes cannot be applied to already reduced/discounted registrations. Limit one (1) special offer/discount code per registration. 

Consent to Use Photographic Images
Your registration and attendance at this event constitutes an agreement by the registrant to AIA's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant's image.

Continuing Education Policy
Participants may earn up to 15.5 AIA Continuing Education System (CES) learning units (LUs) for attending the entire conference. A participant will not be eligible to receive credit for LUs unless we have received a completed registration form and payment. 

Force Majeure
The performance of this agreement by either party may be affected by force majeure (including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of war or other acts of enemies, government  regulation, disaster, strikes, floods, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or other emergency or event beyond the control of the parties), thus making it inadvisable, unsafe, illegal, or impossible to provide required accommodations and/or meeting facilities, hold the meeting, or travel to the meeting. In event of force majeure, either party to this agreement may terminate the agreement upon providing written notice to the other party without penalty or obligation. Such right of termination shall not be unreasonably exercised.

In addition, the AIA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel this meeting. In that event, the AIA shall refund to you all registration fees that it has received from you for this meeting, but shall have no further obligation to you of any type, whether monetary or otherwise. Accordingly, the AIA shall in no event have any liability to you based on claims for indirect, special or consequential damages of any type whatsoever, and shall have no other obligation to you of any type except as expressly stated in the preceding sentence.

When you are ready to register, use the following steps:

  1. Go to the registration webpage.
  2. Sign in using your AIA account (if you don't have an account, you'll be prompted to create one)
    • Select your registration type (AIA Member, Non-Member Professional, etc.)
    • Check the box with the applicable event fee
    • Select your tour choice and note workshop attendance under the Sessions section
    • Enter emergency contact information
    • List any dietary or specials needs in the Meal Request section
  3. If you like to purchase a receptions guest ticket or an extra luncheon ticket, select "Save & Add Guest." If not, select "Add to Cart."
    • Type in the guest name
    • Select the registration type of the guest in the drop down menu
    • Check the box(es) with the applicable guest event fee(s)
  4. Review your events for accuracy
    • Do not change the quantity of the guest tickets here. Go back to step 3 to add a guest by name. Then, add a reception and/or luncheon ticket to their registration.
    • Select “Check Out”
  5. Complete your payment information and select “Continue”
  6. Select “Submit Order”
  7. Your order is complete when you see the “Thank you for your order” screen and receive an email receipt and separate confirmation letter
