Karen has dedicated the last 13 years of her career to the planning and design of healthcare facilities, specifically those for children. In that time, she has been involved in the planning and design of over 2.4 million square feet of healthcare work, with construction costs of over $1.2Billion. Her healthcare planning work includes small outpatient center renovations to full inpatient hospitals at major academic medical centers. Intellectual curiosity keeps Karen engaged in the growing body of healthcare design research while she strives for fresh and innovative programming and design solutions.
