Much has been written about the downfall of manufacturing in the United States and nearly as much about the decline of cities that lost their lifeblood in its wake: Corporate towns without corporations who became mere shadows of their former past. Baltimore is not an extreme case, but certainly was heavily hit by the loss of almost all of its heavy industries......
