Andy is an architect and technologist. He practiced architecture with Atlanta-based firms Heery International, Lord Aeck Sargent, and Stephen Fuller Designs. He joined Bentley in 1998 as a member of its Professional Services team, providing technology consulting, custom application development, and implementation services. His work as Solutions Executive focused on consulting with global design firms, contractors, and owners who were seeking improvements in building information modeling (BIM), project delivery methods, and lifecycle data management. In his current position as Director of Product Management he provides product vision and business strategy for Bentley's building design modeling applications.
In 2008, Andy was recognized by USACE Major General Bo Temple for his leading role in Bentley's successful completion of the Construction Operations Building information exchange (COBie). He received the American Institute of Architects 2000 National Young Architect Award for his contributions in bridging the gap between technology and its successful use in practice.
Andy has participated on several industry and professional associations including the buildingSMART alliance Board of Direction (2009-2016), the AIA Technology in Architectural Practice Advisory Group (2012-present), the Design-Build of America BIM Committee (2009-2012) and the AIA Atlanta Board of Directors (1991-1998).
Andy earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
