    Hello,

I am a research analyst with Sheridan College in Ontario Canada and we are exploring the idea of creating a program for architects and designers (and potentially others who are involved in designing or renovating for an aging population) and I am seeking input from people like yourselves who may have some great insights to share with me around this topic.  I will of course tap into the existing published resources on this website but it would be great to have a conversation by telephone as well.

If any of you are interested in speaking with me, I would appreciate hearing from you via email or telephone.  I can be reached at: petra.bennett@sheridancollege.ca or 905-845-9430 X8572.

    Thank you!

    Petra

Interesting. There are programs in place such as one developed by a Senior Housing developer "Eskaton" - Livable Design Resources for Home Builders | Home of the Future | Age in Place Homes

that are pretty well thought out and provide guidelines for designing homes for the aging population. There are many other elements to design, not covered in the Livable Design guidelines, that would be helpful for architects and designers to include in our repertoire of resource information when planning any facility.
