The mission of the AIA Design for Aging (DFA) Knowledge Community is to foster design innovation and disseminate knowledge necessary to enhance the built environment and quality of life for an aging society. This includes relevant research on characteristics, planning and costs associated with innovative design for aging. In addition, DFA provides outcome data on the value of these design solutions and environments.

    Letting you know about our new national initiative, Better Living Design. We'll be certifying designers and builders, approving homes, and promoting everyone who joins. Betterlivingdesign.org.


    You'll here more about it this fall and we'll be a numerous events over the next year including: Remodeling Show in Chicago, October; IBS/KBIS in Las Vegas, February; Dwell in Los Angeles, June; and surely we'll be at the AIA event in Chicago next June as well.
