    DESCRIPTION:

Remaining a leader within a medical field is a daunting task and for the past 25 years, the Cleveland Clinic's Heart and Vascular Institute has maintained the #1 seed.  Hybrid operating rooms were introduced in 2002 and in 2018, two new rooms were introduced, bringing their total to six rooms for just their main campus. These complex rooms employ some of the most technically challenging imaging equipment such as the Siemens Zeego, Pheno and Bi-plane technologies.

Over the years, there are many lessons learned about the planning, design and implementing these complex rooms, including deciding how much square footage is 'really' needed to make the room function and what support systems are necessary to make it function optimally.

During this session, attendees will follow the evolution of hybrid OR design at the Cleveland Clinic, explore the lessons learned in creating the best environment for treating patients and learn the best way to improve them and their delivery method in the future.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this webinar attendees will:

    • Follow the evolution of hybrid OR Design at the Cleveland Clinic and learning both lessons from both a planning and construction perspective, highlighting the importance design plays in both doctor and patient safety.
    • Discuss the importance of pre-design, to determine if you can ever have "too much" square footage, while taking into account the role space plays in the safety of healthcare workers and patients.
    • Learn key planning and construction tips and tricks to enhance the design of the OR, make working with the design team better and ensure a successful final build.
    • Take a sneak peek into the future needs of the next generation hybrid OR and how these needs will serve the health benefit of those using the space.
