For the tenth week in a row, the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health's Research Initiatives Committee has just downloaded another new "bench-marking" case study.   This 2017 AIA/AAH Healthcare Design Award winning project is the Studio Mercy Virtual Care Center located in Chesterfield, Missouri by Forum

Studio.  This project is particularly interesting as it is very timely Non-traditional healthcare project in terms of its focus on Virtual Care in a time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.   It houses no patients, but connects to them through technology, and it shows how to put the focus on healing the care-giver in a building that connects them to daylight and views to nature, while providing healthy work stations and encouraging socialization in beautiful and well planned collaborative environments.  As the Jury aptly suggests, “The FUTURE of healthcare is here!”  We have added the introductory 2-page spread to peak your interest.  Go to the Library to see the rest of this Case Study.

The American Institute of Architects recognized the project as one of the best in the nation, awarding it a 2017 AIA/AAH Healthcare Design Award.

We now have thirty-eight (38) Case Studies of the 2013 through 2019 AIA Academy of Architecture for Health’s Award Winning Projects in the Library.  We have drafted, and continue to draft, more of the 2018 and 2019 Award Winning projects Case Studies; and many of those will be submitted over the next few weeks.

    Respectfully Yours,
