The Committee on the Environment (COTE®) is an AIA Knowledge Community working for architects, allied professionals, and the public to achieve climate action and climate justice through design. We believe that design excellence is the foundation of a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future. Our work promotes design strategies that empower all AIA members to realize the best social and environmental outcomes with the clients and the communities they serve.

    Calling architects, engineers, and certified building inspectors! Interested in learning how to help your community post-disaster? Join us for a virtual SAP training on March 23-24th, 9am - 1pm PT.  After successfully completing AIA's SAP training, eligible individuals will earn a California-issued registration ID card. This nationally recognized certification is often required training for volunteer building safety evaluators nationwide. This course costs $99 for AIA members and $175 for non-members. This course awards 6.5 LUs/HSW.
