The Design for Aging (DFA) Knowledge Community leadership invites you to join our live course on February 22 presented by Dean Maddalena and Karla Jackson of StudioSIX5.

    Description
The senior population has been uniquely vulnerable to COVID-19, and this pandemic has exposed vulnerabilities in the programming of senior living spaces. New strategies for health and safety will be crucial in the post-COVID designs for all senior environments including multi-family housing, mixed-use, and hospitality. In this session, explore COVID's impact on the design and daily operations of senior environments, and best practices to create safer spaces for residents, families, and caregivers.

    Learning objectives
    1. Understand how the 2020 pandemic has affected the programming, space planning and design for all levels of senior housing.
    2. Appreciate the design differences after the pandemic and why they matter.
    3. Realize the impact of design on safety and daily operations at senior communities.
    4. Learn how design/operations can be used in marketing a safe and inviting community.
