AIA AAH Fellowship 

Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design 

  • This fellowship is supported by The American Institute of Architect’s Academy of Architecture for Health (AIA-AAH). 
  • This fellowship supports graduate students who desire to increase their awareness of the needs and nature of health care facilities.
  • The specific goal of this fellowship is to attract talented students to the field to advance their knowledge of planning and design for health care environments.  
  • This fellowship is seeking graduate students who demonstrate a research-informed design approach resulting in a clearly demonstrated design proposal.  
  • Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000 – $10,000 

Foundation for Health Environments Research (FHER) Fellowship 

Griffin/McKahan/Zilm (GMZ) Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning & Design

  • This fellowship has been established and supported by three leaders in healthcare planning through the Foundation for Health Environments Research (FHER) Legacy fund.  
  • This fellowship supports graduate students, junior faculty, and emerging professionals in health care facility planning and design.  
  • The specific goals of this fellowship include encouraging research related to health care programming and planning as well as to the general practice of healthcare architecture.  
  • Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000 – $9,000
