Bio

My career began in northeastern Ohio entering the offices of architects and engineers to work as a draftsman. I worked for two full years, designing my first building at 18 prior to entering architecture school at The Ohio State University. I have been in the profession for more than 40 years.

During my years at OSU I worked for several professors and a few architectural firms prior to graduation, including the Columbus office of NBBJ.

After graduation in December 1981, I left for Texas entering the Houston office of Gensler. I spent seven years in Texas working on high-profile projects including headquarters for Enron and EDS. Law firms were also a staple working for Fulbright & Jaworski, King & Spaulding and Baker-Botts.

In 1988 I moved to Princeton, NJ and joined the office of CUH2A. I left after one year, spending the next seven years with Hillier Architecture, where I became a technical director and associate in the firm. While at Hillier, I was responsible for projects with such noted clients as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Hoffman-LaRoche, Deloitte & Touche, Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Pitney Bowes.

I formed my own firm in Vero Beach, Florida 1998 and continue as president of the firm, now approaching our 15th year in business.

My experience has covered every imaginable position in the profession that a person can hold. My strengths are in technical design issues and management. An capable designer, I am known for taking initial concepts and making them better than could be originally conceived.
